These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of TornBot, a Discord application and related website services (collectively, the "Service") operated by SR Tools ("we," "us," or "our"). By addingTornBot to a Discord server, signing in to our web dashboard, linking a Torn City account, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree, do not use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of a Discord server or organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that server or organization to these Terms.
1. What the Service provides
TornBot is a third-party tool for players of the online game Torn City. It is not created by, endorsed by, or affiliated with Discord Inc. or the operators of Torn City. The Service may include, among other things:
- Discord bot commands, notifications, and server configuration tools
- Linking Discord accounts to Torn City player accounts
- Optional storage and use of Torn City API keys you provide
- Faction, company, chain, crime, bookie, banking, loadout, and related game-data features
- A web dashboard for server administrators at our website
Features vary by server configuration and by what data you or your server administrators choose to enable. We may add, change, or remove features at any time.
2. Eligibility
You must meet Discord's minimum age requirements and comply with Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service complies with the rules of Torn City and any Discord server where the bot is used.
3. Discord and third-party services
Your use of Discord is governed by Discord's terms and policies. Our website dashboard uses Discord OAuth with the identify and guilds scopes so you can sign in and manage servers where you have appropriate permissions.
The Service also communicates with third-party APIs, including the official Torn City API and, when enabled, TornStats. Those services have their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party services, outages, or changes to their APIs.
4. Account linking and API keys
Some features require you to verify or link your Discord account to a Torn City account. Other features require you to voluntarily submit a Torn City API key through bot commands such as pairing or verification flows.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of information you submit and for keeping API keys confidential.
- You should only provide API keys you are permitted to use, and only grant the access levels needed for the features you want.
- You may revoke access at any time by deleting or rotating the key in Torn City and removing it from the Service where applicable.
- We use submitted keys only to provide the Service, such as fetching logs, faction data, or other information permitted by Torn City for that key.
5. Server administrator responsibilities
Discord server owners and administrators who install or configure TornBot are responsible for:
- Deciding which channels, roles, and features are enabled
- Informing members that the bot is present and what data it may process
- Ensuring use of the Service complies with applicable law and server rules
- Removing the bot from the server if they no longer want it to operate there
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for unlawful, abusive, harassing, or fraudulent purposes
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, databases, or other users' data
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or overload the Service except as allowed by law
- Submit API keys or data you do not have the right to use
- Misrepresent your identity, faction affiliation, or permissions
- Use the Service in a way that violates Discord's or Torn City's rules
We may investigate misuse and may suspend or terminate access to the Service for users or servers that violate these Terms or that create risk for us or other users.
7. Privacy
Our collection and use of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read that policy.
8. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or accurate. Game data, odds, logs, notifications, and calculations may be delayed, incomplete, or incorrect because of API limits, game changes, Discord outages, or other factors outside our control.
9. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SR Tools AND ITS OPERATORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR GAME PROGRESS, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) FIFTY U.S. DOLLARS (USD $50). THE SERVICE IS CURRENTLY OFFERED WITHOUT CHARGE TO END USERS; AS A RESULT, THIS LIMIT WILL OFTEN BE USD $50.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of the above may not apply to you.
10. Indemnity
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless SR Tools and its operators from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights or rules.
11. Changes to the Service and Terms
We may modify the Service or these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time by leaving affected Discord servers, removing the bot from a server, unlinking accounts where supported, and signing out of the web dashboard.
We may suspend or discontinue the Service, or your access to it, at any time with or without notice. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including disclaimers, limitations of liability, and indemnity.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where SR Toolsprimarily operates, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer protections in your country require otherwise.
